Available Positions
CDL Drivers
Our heavy-duty fleet includes vacuum trucks, air movers, and tow trucks. We also have light-duty vehicles combined with trailers that exceed 26,000 pounds at times. We are looking for CDL Class A drivers (or Class B with the ability to obtain Class A within 6 weeks of employment).
Applicants must be able to accurately and timely complete required paperwork, including manifests, bills of lading, time cards, trip logs, etc. Applicants would also fill the role of Spill Response Technician and / or as a Tow Truck Driver if needed.
Spill Response / Field Technician
We have an ongoing need for full- and part-time spill response/field technicians. A Field Tech is integral to the success of the daily operations at Enviro-BEE. They are responsible for deploying to the job site quickly and with all needed supplies and equipment, and doing a thorough and complete job. They should have high energy and bring a positive attitude to the working environment to boost morale among their co-workers.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in various types of oil spill clean-up activities as needed.
- Follow the required environmental, health, and safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
- Participation in an OSHA-mandated medical surveillance program (i.e., respiratory protection, hearing conservation, bloodborne pathogens); safety training will be provided.
- Operate and maintain equipment (i.e., truck and trailer, vac-truck, vac-trailer, backhoe, forklift, skid steer, pumps, generators) in accordance with all policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure a safe and productive environment; basic working knowledge of all equipment utilized; training will be provided.
- Perform emergency response activities; work with crews to perform emergency response clean-up, non-hazardous waste clean-up, and the handling of non-hazardous waste materials.
- Follow policies and procedures for control and storage of non-hazardous waste, hazardous waste, substances, and materials.
- Calibrate, use, and document meters and readings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide support and assistance to customers, co-workers, and stakeholders.
- Maintain a positive public image to represent the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Clean driving record, drug screen, and background check required.
Work Environment
- Travel required – mostly regional (NC, SC, and VA); rare overnights, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
- On-call is required every third weekend.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds and work in conditions that may feature rough terrain.
- Requires the ability to wear the personal protective equipment prescribed via posted signs and written instructions.
- Ability to work in various conditions indoors and outdoors such as elevated, subsurface, and confined spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Starting Salary: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
Tow Truck Drivers
The position is paid hourly for work done but also has the ability to earn commission pay (commission is not based on storage fees). For more information on commission opportunities, please contact us. Applicants need to have strong communication skills and a friendly phone voice as well as be able to do paperwork timely and accurately. The Tow Driver will be responsible for the BEE Towing cell phone, including answering calls and responding to tow requests as well updating the call log. Vehicle maintenance is done in-house but it is the drivers responsibility to maintain a clean and functional vehicle. Service tickets are to be submitted daily with attached funds and also includes trip data. Safety training is provided on a monthly basis and adherence to safety protocols is required. Tow drivers must be able to work flexible hours as this is mostly an on-demand position.
- Tow truck drivers have a wide range of responsibilities which can include, but is not limited to:
- Inspecting vehicles to determine whether they are safe to drive or need repairs before transporting
- Driving tow truck to accident scene to remove wrecked vehicles from road
- Taking pictures and accurately keeping paperwork for claims filed with insurance
companies - Respond to accidents, break-downs and other roadside incidents
- Staying in contact with clients while en route
- Safely load cars onto the tow truck
- Remove illegally parked vehicles
- Keep dispatch updated on job status
- Connecting the vehicle to the tow truck
- Safely transporting the vehicle to the correct destination
